Rose + Sheila’s 19Main Wedding // New Milford, CT
Rose is my second cousin, although to me she’s always been “Rosie” (cue somber Celtic music). We grew up together eating platters of cannoli, corn fritters, and running around our great grandma’s yard in Stamford together (for whom we’re both named – Rose’s first name, my middle name. Our great grandma, not the backyard). So when she came to me about a year ago asking me to shoot their wedding, it was an obvious yes. We used it as an excuse to meet up over drinks more than once, so we could “plan.”
Rose and Sheila got married at 19Main in New Milford, which is a venue that was formally a bank. It has a ton of character that historical venues always seem to have. We did their first look at Lover’s Leap State Park, where they both made the hike to the actual Lover’s Leap cliff in stilettos. Super impressive.
I loved everything about their wedding. It was super calm, with alone time carved out throughout the day for just the two of them.
